Welcome to a unique way of connecting with Lanzarote through art, where the island’s landscapes, light, and culture become part of the creative process. Our Art Day Experiences combine artistic practice with moments of observation, calm, and inspiration.

Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply curious to explore your creativity, these guided sessions invite you to slow down, paint, and experience the island through a more creative and personal lens.

Discover Lanzarote’s stunning cactus range in an incredible morning at the Jardín de Cactus in Mala to unleash your creativity in some of the island’s most beautiful and peaceful spots. This experience blends art and exploration, taking you to the perfect spots for painting and sketching while introducing you to the local culture and lifestyle.

This experience offers you a chance to capture the essence of Lanzarote on paper. You’ll use watercolors and some mixed media while learning techniques, having fun, and enjoying the beauty around you.

Beyond painting alongside Lucía Entrialgo all morning, you'll also have time to observw the lights, colours and rhythm of César Manrique's last architectural masterpiece.

Lanzarote starts to unfold on our way to the north, these magnificent skies are all about. Then we´ll start our day with a breathtaking view of the Cactus Garden from the entrance and getting in touch with Cesar Manrique artworks.

Dive In

Choose your cactus

Outdoor painting by the cactus garden: spend 3 hours in a secluded spot, painting the greeneries with Lucía guidance and all the materials you need to capture nature's beauty.

Loosen Up

Pics and lanscape

After painting, we’ll explore how to capture this inspiration to continue at home. We´ll learn how to make unique colour palettes and take reference photos.

Lucía Entrialgo

Lucía Entrialgo is an Spanish artist who has built her career by bringing the creative industries into every company and client she has come into contact with. The intersectionality between art, design, and craftsmanship with other industries is essential to her -like living surrounded by color and beauty.

She enjoys painting with watercolor and ink, creating pieces with strong concepts and expressive character. Her paintings, words and products has been sold in Mexico and Spain.

At the end of 2023, driven by her passion for art and design, she founded The Sun Collective from her home in Lanzarote.

What can I expect to learn?

  • Mastering illustration techniques with Lucia´s unique teaching method.

  • Techniques for taking reference photos, sketching on location, and adapting to live painting.

What should I pack?

The weather in Lanzarote is sunny and warm. You can expect average highs of 24°C during the day that drop to around 17°C at night. Lanzarote enjoys very mild winters and warm summers, and very little rain throughout the year.

It is a windy island so bring a coat with you to protect from it.

Please pack appropriate clothing, sunscreen, a sun hat and sunglasses and a sketchbook.

Is transportation included?

Private transport is not included, but we’re happy to recommend local options if needed.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Once your complete payment is processed, if you need to cancel:

  • If you cancel up to 45 days before the retreat, you will receive a full refund of your reservation fee.
  • If you cancel between 44 and 30 days before the retreat, you will receive 50% of the total amount you paid.
  • Unfortunately, if you cancel within 29 days of the retreat, we cannot offer a refund.

To protect yourself against any potential need for cancellation or changes in travel plans, including no-shows, medical emergencies, or travel disruptions, we highly recommend to purchase travel, medical, and cancellation insurance.

Please ensure your insurance covers trip cancellation and interruption. We advise carefully reviewing your insurance policy to understand the coverage details and claims process. Remember, securing suitable insurance is your responsibility, as The Sun Collective does not partner with any insurance providers.
