Art Experience: North Coast

Discover Lanzarote’s stunning northern coast and unleash your creativity in some of the island’s most beautiful and peaceful spots. This experience blends art and exploration, taking you to the perfect spots for painting and sketching, while introducing you to the local culture and lifestyle.

This experience blends art with exploration, and offers you a chance to capture the essence of Lanzarote on canvas or paper. You’ll chose to use watercolors, acrylics or mixed media while learning techniques, having fun, and enjoying the beauty around you. All materials are provided, so just bring your creativity!

Lanzarote starts to unfold in our way to the north, these magnificient skies are all about. Then we´ll start our day with a breathtaking view of La Graciosa and the surrounding islands.

Dive In

Secret beach

Outdoor Painting by a Secret White Sand Beach: Spend 2 hours in a secluded spot, painting the crystal-clear waters and pristine sands of the north coast. We’ll provide guidance and all the materials you need to capture the beauty of this hidden paradise.

Loosen Up

Sailormen village

Sketching in Punta Mujeres Village: After painting, we’ll explore Punta Mujeres, a charming fishing village. Here, you’ll have time to sketch its white-washed houses and unique coastal vibe.

Lucía Entrialgo

Lucía Entrialgo is an Spanish artist who has built her career by bringing the creative industries into every company and client she has come into contact with. The intersectionality between art, design, and craftsmanship with other industries is essential to her -like living surrounded by color and beauty.

She enjoys painting with watercolor and ink, creating pieces with strong concepts and expressive character. Her paintings, words and products has been sold in Mexico and Spain.

At the end of 2023, driven by her passion for art and design, she founded The Sun Collective from her home in Lanzarote.

What can I expect to learn?

Beyond painting alongside Tahnee Flor every day, you'll also have free time to relax, to practice by your own or to discover Lanzarote island and share your experiences with other artists over a cup of coffee.

What should I pack?

The weather in Lanzarote is sunny and warm. You can expect average highs of 24°C during the day that drop to around 17°C at night. Lanzarote enjoys very mild winters and warm summers, and very little rain throughout the year. It is a windy island so bring a coat with you to protect from it.

Please pack appropriate clothing, sunscreen, a swimsuit, a beach towel, flip flops, a coat for evenings and nights, comfortable shoes, a sun hat and sunglasses, personal care items, and any personal medication you might need.

Is transportation included?

The retreat include airport transfers from/to Lanzarote Airport at prearranged times, and excursions trips in private transportation.

Host tip: Given Lanzarote's limited public transportation and costly taxi services, we suggest teaming up with fellow retreat participants for car-sharing if you wish to explore the island during our retreat's free time. We're here to help facilitate these arrangements with you.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Once your complete payment is processed, if you need to cancel:

  • If you cancel up to 45 days before the retreat, you will receive a full refund of your reservation fee.
  • If you cancel between 44 and 30 days before the retreat, you will receive 50% of the total amount you paid.
  • Unfortunately, if you cancel within 29 days of the retreat, we cannot offer a refund.

To protect yourself against any potential need for cancellation or changes in travel plans, including no-shows, medical emergencies, or travel disruptions, we highly recommend to purchase travel, medical, and cancellation insurance.

Please ensure your insurance covers trip cancellation and interruption. We advise carefully reviewing your insurance policy to understand the coverage details and claims process. Remember, securing suitable insurance is your responsibility, as The Sun Collective does not partner with any insurance providers.

If I want to extend my trip to Lanzarote, where can I stay?

We sincerely recommend looking for a room at Pitaya Coliving in Arrecife, a place with unique energy co-livers. If you prefer something on your own, we suggest searching for apartments in Costa Teguise, a well-located town close to the sea.
